Change Order #1

Before I post about my upcoming trip to San Francisco for the World Baseball Classic championship, I want to keep you abreast on some changes with regards to summer travel plans.

As the season had started, my original intention was to make a trip down to Florida to see my brother and catch some games down in the Southeast. I had planned to see teams in Jacksonville, Savannah, Daytona, and Tampa. It was planned that this particular road trip be the highlight trip of the summer and that everything would revolve around it.

I have decided to scrap that trip in favor of something more "family-oriented". My parents are willing to cash in some of their Amtrak Guest Rewards points for me to come with them down to Southern California to visit some relatives. They are also flying my brother out from Florida to meet us down there. Glancing at the schedule, I'm going to try and work out trips to San Diego and Los Angeles, as well as trips to Minor League teams in Rancho Cucamonga, Lancaster, and maybe Visalia on the way home.

The way I see it, I get a free trip down to SoCal and the opportunity to see three new ballparks while I'm down there. In addition, I am excited to hang with my brother and family down in a part of this country I have visited twice before, so we should have a great time.

I will be publishing a detailed itinerary for the WBC on Sunday.

Always take on a 3-0 pitch ;)
