This past Monday was a rare day off for me. I had planned originally to go down to Albuquerque to see the Triple-A Isotopes play, but circumstances with my job and City Council forced me to push that trip to the end of the summer. So, consequently, I had a free day to do whatever I wanted. I wanted to do something baseball related, so I tried to look outside of the box for a unique idea that could fulfill this requirement. I came up with the idea of a baseball movie marathon.
Spending the entire day watching baseball movies? You know, it was actually fun. I comandeered my parents flat screen tv, ate some hot dogs, and watched six straight movies all about baseball. I started at 9am, watched through the lunch and evening hours, went for a workout (hello Spring Training), then finished up at night.
Here are the movies I got through:
1.) The Sandlot
2.) Moneyball
3.) Major League
4.) Angels in the Outfield
5.) A League of their Own
6.) Little Big League
What was my favorite movie? Gosh, all of them are classics. As you can see by the picture, I didn't watch others that are classics too. I think the moral of this story is that you can't go wrong with a baseball film.
Always take on a 3-0 pitch ;)
